The characteristics of oily skin type

Because of the hormonal shifts of adolescence, oily skin is common in teenagers. However, it can occur at any age. Figure out whether you have oily skin or not based on the characteristics of oily skin type provided below.

Here are the characteristics:

  • It feels soft, supple, and elastic even after washing. It usually feels oily to the touch too.
  • It looks shiny because of the oily sheen especially in the T-zone.
  • It has enlarged pores especially in the nose, chin and cheek area. The pores of the skin are generally large and visible with a coarse or thick texture.
  • It is prone to acne, blackheads and blemishes.
  • It also tans easily but seldom burns.

What is good from oily skin type is that it stays elastic and firm for longer and is less prone to wrinkles and fine lines than other skin types. Of course, it happens if you take the right skin care for it.
