First of all, find out your type of skin color. Is it dark, medium, fair or olive?

Then, since skin tone is critical to determine which shade of lipstick will look best on you, the next thing you should do is figure out your skin undertone. Is it cool or warm undertone?

After you know that, check the following list of suitable lipstick colors for certain skin colors and skin undertones.

Dark Skin Color Type

If your skin is categorized into dark skin, the general hues are the dark red and deep plum. Dark red with a hint of blue and deep plum illuminate darker skin tones.
But if you have cool undertones, it is better to choose raisin, wine, or ruby red.
And if you have warm undertones: go for honey, ginger, or coppery bronze.

Medium Skin Color Type
If your skin is categorized into medium skin, the best general hues are plum and raspberry because plum and raspberry will play up pink undertones and create an overall glow.
If you have cool undertones, select rosy pink, pomegranate, and cranberry.
If you have warm undertones, opt for bronze, copper, and cinnamon.

If you have warm undertones, just pick shell, sand, or nude peach.

Olive Skin Color Type
If your skin is categorized into olive skin, light brown and dark berry will give you a sun-kissed look.
For you who have cool or warm undertones, you can select brick red, brown red, or caramel.
Many olive complexions are a combination of both warm and cool undertones; so, they can pull off the same shades.
