Basic Lipstick Undertone Colors
Have you ever bought a lipstick which has a beautiful color, but the color changes when you apply it on your lips? Have you ever questioned why does it happen?
A lipstick doesn’t look the same way on as it does in the tube because of the undertone colors in the lipstick.
What is it? Undertone color is the underlying color of a lipstick. When you’ve applied a lipstick, the undertone color in the lipstick shows its true color.
There are some basic lipstick undertone colors. Here they are:
Red/pink:
Both colors seem warmer, but harder and deeper as well. They can also bring out all the red tones in your skin. So, be careful!
Yellow/orange:
Both colors look great on warm skin tones. However, it can bring out the green/blue undertones in your skin if you’re really pale
Silver/grey:
Be careful, both colors can make those under eye circles stand out.
Green:
You’ll look cool and hip, but you’ll also feel as if you need more color on your face. As a suggestion, make it as the last choice.
Blue:
Try to stay clear of these if possible because it can make you look like you’re STILL standing under fluorescent lighting.
